SULLIVAN, Ind. – Families in Sullivan County are invited to enjoy an evening of fun and fitness at the Sullivan County Community Hospital Fitness Center on Friday, June 20.
The center will host “Family Fit Friday,” a free event filled with kid-friendly activities such as face painting, inflatables, and shaved ice. The event will run from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. outside the fitness center.
At 7 p.m., a color run will begin. Participants are encouraged to wear a white shirt, which will be splashed with colorful powdered dye throughout the run.
Drew Hogue, Director of the Fitness Center, said the event is designed to help children understand the value of staying active.
“We’re seeing more cases of chronic illness and obesity,” Hogue said. “Events like this are a way to encourage simple habits like regular physical activity.”
The event aims to provide a fun, positive environment for families while highlighting the importance of long-term health.
