Hearth opened in 2023 as Hearth Food Garden, a 15,000-square-foot venue offering various dining and beverage options.

Marie Bodi, spokesperson for Portsmouth Hospitality, whose owner Mark McNabb also owns the building, described the business as becoming “unsustainable” over time.

“While we’ve been deeply grateful for the support of our community and loyal guests, the operational demands of running such a large and complex facility ultimately proved unsustainable,” Bodi said.

Customers with outstanding Hearth gift cards can request refunds or exchanges at other Portsmouth Hospitality restaurants, according to SeacoastOnline.
