Bayside Health Service dominated the Metro South Health Nursing and Midwifery Awards this week, winning three of the six top honours.
Redland Hospital’s Anne-Beth Hampson was named Midwife of the Year. Candice Lancaster received the Graduate Midwife of the Year award, and Lucas Bertolone took home Graduate of the Year.
Director of Nursing and Midwifery Amanda Garner praised the achievements, highlighting the strength of Bayside’s culture.
“This is a well-deserved result for our staff and reflects the strong mentoring, support, and education we foster at Bayside,” she said.
Ms Garner said she was especially proud of the team’s newest clinicians.
“Lucas and Candice are just beginning their careers, yet they already embody the Metro South Health values that define excellent nursing and midwifery,” she said.
The annual awards recognise outstanding care and contributions across Metro South Health, Queensland’s largest public health service.
“These results show that we grow our own talent at Bayside — and they are among the very best,” Ms Garner said.
