The WA Centre for Perinatal Mental Health & Parenting Support (WACPPS) is hosting a charity golf day next month to raise both funds and awareness for men’s mental health. The event will take place during Men’s Health Month on Sunday, June 29, at the Gosnells Golf Club. Registration begins at 12:00 PM, with tee-off scheduled for 12:30 PM. All proceeds will support WACPPS programs designed to assist fathers and partners dealing with mental health challenges during the perinatal period.
WACPPS has partnered with Big Emotions Academy for the event. Corey Gaidzionis, the founder of the Academy, will deliver a keynote address titled “Showing Up for Yourself”, focusing on emotional honesty in leadership and parenting.
The City of Gosnells is sponsoring the event as part of its ongoing commitment to local mental health initiatives.
Gosnells Golf Club’s General Manager, Shaun Malone, emphasized the club’s pride in backing the cause, noting the success of a similar initiative held earlier this year. The International Women’s Day High Tea, organized by WACPPS’s sister organization, Women’s Health & Wellbeing Services, was well-received.
Emma Basc, CEO of WACPPS, will also serve as the day’s MC, sharing insights on the importance of mental health support for the entire family.
Mark your calendars and get ready to support this important cause while enjoying a day of golf, networking, and valuable conversations around men’s mental health.
